A. Information You Provide to Us

- Wallet & Financial Data: To fund your wallet, we use Paystack as our primary payment gateway. When you make a transaction, Paystack collects your payment information. We do not store your full credit/debit card numbers or bank credentials on our servers.
- Vehicle Information: You may provide details about your Electric Vehicle (EV) to ensure compatibility with our charging stations.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise or approximate location data to show you the nearest charging stations and provide navigation.
- Usage Data: We collect information about your interactions with the App, such as charging session history, duration, and energy consumed (kWh).
- OCPP & Technical Data: Our stations communicate via the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP). When you initiate a charge, technical identifiers (such as Tag IDs) are processed to authorize the transaction and monitor the hardware status.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
- Facilitate EV charging sessions and manage wallet balances.
- Provide a map of available charging stations in Accra and across Ghana.
- Maintain the security and integrity of our charging network.
- Comply with legal obligations and financial regulations.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share information with:
- Paystack: To process your payments and top up your Ecoamp wallet securely. You can view Paystack’s privacy policy on their official website.
- Service Providers: Third parties that assist with cloud hosting and map services.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
4. App Permissions
To provide a seamless experience, the App may request access to:
- Location Services: Required to find and navigate to stations.
- Camera: To scan QR codes on charging units for quick session initiation.
- Notifications: To alert you when your charging session is complete or when your wallet balance is updated.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information as long as your account is active. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the App settings or by contacting team@ecoamp.app. Please note that certain transaction records must be retained for a period to comply with financial auditing requirements.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure socket layers, to protect your data. All financial transactions are encrypted and processed through Paystack’s secure environment.
